A Curious Idol: Documentary of a Lost Girl was my first major project in the world of film. This documentary was something I started in college, and it took ten years of research and scouring archives, along with sixteen separate interviews conducted across New York, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Tennessee, California, Paris, Berlin, and London, to bring to life.

Self-funded through waitressing and some college grants and kick-starters, myself and one cinematographer traveled the world to bring the story of Louise Brooks to life. I ran a Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter with around 1.5K in cumulative followers, to promote the film, as well as arranged articles with press sources around the country, arranged for short screenings at film festivals, and managed communications between numerous institutions and networks to gain as much material and traction as possible.

The film is now going through funding and editing rounds, and continues to be my favorite project to date.
